    New Stuff

A lot has happened since the last time I posted. I started a new job at a Pedal Cab Company in Phoenix, I've almost been married for a year, I've started multiple projects, and my wife's done a lot to help herself feel better with where she's at in life! She's also done a ton of projects in arts and crafts!

My new job is great! I love the ones that require me to do exercise in order to earn money. The best description of a Pedal Cab or Bicycle Cab is a Chariot with a human pulling it on a bicycle in the front. It's fun for the passengers to get around while having a good time in downtown Phoenix! It's like a hay ride! There's a lot of quick sales, and thinking on your feet. I usually have a lot of jokes, to get people to hop on. The first ride of the night, I do for free, but usually get a small tip. I don't mind, because that's how I get people to see that I'm worth the ride ;-). I do the same thing on the last ride as well. I strictly work for tips. At any given night with events and hang-outs afterwards, I could bring home anywhere between $35 and $200 depending on a lot of factors. Some factors that deplete the ability to get cash is how many cabs are out, how many people are out, what the general consensus of how much a cab should cost (according to the passengers), and wether or not people are going to work the next morning. The company charges a small fee to use their bikes. I love the job! :-)

A recent experience in Cabbing, about a week ago in Phoenix, there were certain people I was giving rides to... two very drunk guys gave me a $10 for bringing them a very short distance. They gave me their number to text back later; I texted back in one hour. It took a few drunk texts, but I found them. Two minutes later one of them was stricken with hormones and testosterone for the waitress. Guys were pushing him away from her, she scooted from table to table away from him. Just after I asked the bouncer to kick him out, he hit the hat off a guy who was trying to keep him away from the waitress.  I walked to the door, inconspicuously, as to not let him know that I was the one who called him on it. I got the cab, went up to the two guys, and a second later they started fighting.... And... I was on my way home at that point... Other than that, I made $90 bucks in a couple hours without a hitch. It was a good night overall! :-)

Julie and I will be married one year on the 30th of June 2013! It's been a great year! We've learned how to appreciate all the things we love in each other & how to communicate the needs we have for one another.

One of the new projects, I'm very proud of planning out, is building two go carts for Julie and I. I was going to build it before our 1st anniversary, but by the time I had the idea, the anniversary was only two weeks away. It wasn't enough time to make even one go cart. Maybe for a production line, but not for me (from design to finish). The two carts are going to be  made out of wood, an actual cart frame, or a 3 to 4 wheeled bicycle. The wood version will have a custom paint job, additional add ons - a lockable basket on the front or rear, scoops for the front, wings for the back, and panels for everything!
The frame'll look something like this:

Changed to my own way of course (image found here: http://www.instructables.com/id/Oh-No-not-another-flippin-soapbox/)

Eventually, I'd like mine to look like a mini 1980's BatMobile; like this:

My wife is working through packets of workbooks to help her realize that her feelings are valid, worth searching through, and it helps her sort through them. It's also helping her in the way of communication. She is saying things in a very logical way. I like that, of course, because I'm a guy and think along those lines anyway. It is helping her handle things a lot better! She has had a tough life, but has a great attitude. It has simply been hard for her to deal with while going through regular life at the same time. She's doing great, and her attitude has always been positive! She describes herself as a kid in a candy store! She is excited with life in general, and loves finding new and cute things to create, do and have.

Some of her finished projects are portrayed in these photos:

A stuffed animal named Hippo for our friend Julie :-)

Here's Pinky! She is the third female in the house :-) Julie, Pumpkin, and Pinky. I'm getting a green elephant named Hulk soon! He's gonna be huge!

    Swimming fishies :-)

    A multi-colored horse!

    A penguin ... I like this one a lot!

A star crochet - blue and white :-)

A star crochet - pink and white :-)

A star crochet - chosen colors

An embroidery of a rainbow and a moon :-)

Julie made 40 fish for me to sell. I sold about half of them before I started my new job!

One of the Lucky Fish that I sold on Mill Ave. Tempe, AZ

An embroidery of a unicorn :-)

Here's Candy the 4th girl in the house. She has a great personality!

    Dish and Cleaning Cloths

She's really good at her crafts. At one point in time, I sold the fish, that you see in some of the photos above, to people on the streets in downtown Tempe, AZ. There is a slew of people who walk around down there on the weekends. I sold them for $5.00 a fish. It went well! One night in 3 hours I sold $45 worth of fish. It was great!

That's about it for now! Have a great day!
